Quarter Page Flyer Special
by Fuzzytek on Feb.01, 2010, under Red Door Digital, Red Door Real Time, Red Door Studio, business, focus, planning
I’ve had a number of people asking me to support their events outside the location where I work at Exotic Zone Gallery. My only problem with this is the level of support they provide for me to offer them support.
Print Business
Please consider ordering quarter-page flyers through myself at Red Door Digital. I can offer a special incentive price of $125 for 5,000 full color two sided 4/4 12pt UV coated flyers. Please note the specifications for creating quarter page flyers as we end up with too many people missing key items when they submit their order.
Here’s how to place your order
- Create your graphic as 4.5″ x 5.75″ at 300 dpi.
- The added quarter inch dimensions are your bleed-edge, or where the paper will be trimmed. That means you want your graphics to cover that area to produce content that spills off the paper edge. DO NOT place text or meaningful content within the next eighth of an inch (.125″) from each edge. Creating guides in your design software is very helpful!
- Make sure your colors are CYMK rather than RGB, they may appear muddier on the screen depending on your calibration of monitor to printer colors.
If you need graphic work done call FUZZYTEK at Red Door Studio!
Flyer designs are $60 for two sides, $40 single side.
If you wish a photo session for imaging those range from $20-150 extra depending on content and preparation. Obviously we have to discuss & schedule.

- Place an order by selecting FLYERS, QUARTER-PAGE (1st size option). You’ll find the regular price for 5,000 is $200, click that entry to place your order.
- Email info(at)reddoordigital.com with a subject line stating the order number from RedDoorDigital.com and the topic of your flyer, in the body explain that you saw the special from Fuzzytek. I suggest also calling or text messaging 248-632-6156.
(without the email and a text message/phone call I can’t get you the special price)
This is a limited time offering that will expire March 30, 2010. So don’t be a fool on April Fool’s Day realizing the special passed you by!

Dreams become real when united
by Fuzzytek on Dec.29, 2009, under 313FAD, The Detriot Factory
The fashion community of Detroit has been growing and we are interested in uniting the factions of talent that appear to be in isolation. 313FAD.com was created in 2007 with that goal in mind, to unite and serve the community.
As an online site the ability to offer a locally focused platform becomes very important in a sea of massive communities where local content can be lost. The site has gone through a few instances of development, growing the community and regenerating its online presence. Some have ridden the ups and downs of relocation and maintaining connection.
I realized in creating the site that it wasn’t going to be ALL online – we’re out on the streets creating REAL LIFE connections. Members are involved in fashion events as designers, models, photographers, coordinators – we are the living breathing essence of Detroit’s Fashion Movement. The website offers a way for our united activities to be known, followed, and for new talent to quickly make their way into connection with people DOING what they aspire to be doing. The word is ON THE STREET, not just online that there is a creative community for fashion talent in Detroit.
Dreams come and go – they will die with you if you don’t share them and if they don’t inspire the people around you to participate the depth of reality is lost. I am busy making the dreams reality for the people I’m in touch with. I connect fashion, film, music, and performing art talent to opportunities around Detroit. I wish to see the creative talent in this city unite in a way that has people reverse this trend of leaving Detroit to be known — that just speaks too loudly that something is missing here when seeking the road to success.
I’m doing my best to create secure footing here in Detroit for talent so we can extend ourselves out into the world and maintain being here in Detroit and being successful. This city has gone from a population in the late 1950s of 1.9 million to 800,000. The 2010 census is coming. The United States Social Forum is coming to Detroit June 22-26, 2010. This is a community gathering every three years in a selected location in the US… Detroit happens to have been selected as the host city. The question is — what are we (you and I) going to do with that opportunity?
We the citizens of Detroit have a definite need to unite. Acknowledge each other, work together productively, spread word of our good works. My connections are more than fashion oriented… they include all creative people here in Detroit. That is why The Detroit Factory is emerging in 2010. Lets work together in being recognized, sought after, acknowledged, and loved.
One Love,
Stephen “Fuzzytek” Boyle
313FAD internet radio sparks to life
by Fuzzytek on Dec.25, 2009, under 313FAD
| The 313FAD website has an internet radio station through BlogTalkRadio. Through 313FAD we are discovering co-hosts that are interested in running programming online. Programs also offer the ability for up to five callers to phone in to be on air.I’ll be taking an initial stab into broadcasting on Saturday, December 26 for a couple hours prior to the Anticipation Overload fashion show happening at the Majestic Theatre. My plan of action is to gather up interviews from the designers, models, and production staff for the event. Broadcast time will be from 5:00 – 7:00pm. The fashion show begins at 9:00pm.
The next scheduled activity will be Timika Williams (FaceOff Models) will be the host December 29 from 5-6pm during the Abandoned In Detroit project meeting. There has been a lot of interest from members at 313FAD to be co-hosts. I see this as a manner of community building allowing the members to bring themselves and their interests forward to be acknowledged. |
Help the Homeless for the Holidays
by Fuzzytek on Dec.14, 2009, under Christmas, Spacewalk.org
Looking through Facebook status messages… @hardlynormal has a blog post that was echoed out by Kristina. She and I met Mark as he was on his across the nation tour for InvisiblePeople.tv. The blog post tells of a new site with a purpose — Help for the Homeless over the 12 Days of Christmas.
The site is http://12for12k.ning.com and the shared content is a way to gather community and inspire. As a member of Spacewalk.org I’m doing my part to bring our communities together.
When you look at all faiths this is a time for their holiday season. It is a time to recount our blessings, be mindful of our contributions and reach out to assist those in need. Michigan winters are difficult when you have no consistent shelter.
I’m interested in working through Spacewalk with organizations around metro Detroit. The city is as strong as it allows its weakest inhabitants to be. It is alarming to face the figures…
- High teenage suicide rate
- High teenage pregnancy rate
- 49% of adults within Detroit functionally illiterate
- Average age of a homeless student is 8 years old
- Unemployment within the city is over 1/3
- About 1/3 of adult city residents don’t have a vehicle of their own – and yet cutbacks are made in mass transit in a time of need
We the people of the entire metropolitan area have to recognize the core is weak. Suburbs pull workers at all hours of the day and night for employment. Some suburbs have ruled against mass transit, preferring some sort of pristine utopia I suppose. Honestly homelessness and poverty happens in affluent neighborhoods – people are over extended on credit. Living on the credit of future income as a promise to continue their livelihood.
When your credit runs out, the house disappears, and government assistance is what guarantees your place in the world – something has to change. The divide between upper middle class and lower class income is rising and that is not a good thing.
Blessings returned to the community have a way of coming back to you… that is a practice called tithing that some faiths recognize. However there are people that practice it regardless of faith as an enrolling entity. These are true philanthropists and believers in humanity’s gifts.
